June 30
If you’ve never been to Thomas Bros. market you need to make
the trip. Located just north of the 401 off of Col Talbot…..BEST. STRAWBERRIES.
EVER. Our fingers were stained red with berry goodness. We headed to Port
Stanley where we spent the afternoon at the beach people watching, music
listening and sun tanning. Before leaving the beach we stopped in at GT’s for a
fruity drink and a (not so) friendly game of
Swing-the-ring-like-a-pendulum-and-try-to-get-it-on-a-hook. I won 5-4.
Germany played Algeria in the afternoon so we headed to the Alibi Roadhouse and
met up with Lauren, Rhiannon, Sam and Steve (friends of Mat’s from Western) for
a few brews during the game. What seemed like a pretty unexciting game turned
into quite the nail biter. From there, we went to Lauren’s where she hosted a
BBQ for Bill’s birthday (Lauren’s bro-in-law). Good burgers and great company, thanks Lauren (and Bruce!).
Ended the night at Mustang Drive-In, at the south end of London – 22 Jump St,
Neighbours and Trailer Park Boys. 4am bed time but totally worth it.
