July 3
Another early rise to the roar of transport trucks starting
up and the sunrise out of the east.
The sun is out and the sky is blue. Looks like a great day for a drive. This time its Daniela’s turn to drive
while Mat edits some videos and prepares the next couple of blog posts. Breakfast in the Sapp Bros. truck stop
is a tasty treat. Banana bread
French toast with added strawberries and cream. Yummm. We
upload the last couple of blog posts while we eat. Unfortunately we wont be able to upload a blog ever night
because that would require internet and we will be in some remote areas so they
might come out 3 or 4 at a time. A nice truck driver gives us some advice on
how to check for construction stoppages and some good places to eat and gas up
on our way to Denver. On the
road again…
We made it! First things first. Grocery shopping. We were a 5 minute walk from a Whole Foods which was pretty amazing. Bought groceries and a box of wine for the next couple of days and settled into our new home for the night. Lauren from Airbnb(www.airbnb.com) was a gracious host and gave us some tips about breweries and things to do in the area. We filled our water bottles with wine and headed to Civic Center Park for July 3 fireworks(this country loves their fireworks).
